The start of 2014 marked the beginning of deliveries of petroleum products from Russia to Armenia, such as diesel fuel and gasoline, and in particular, tar.

Raw materials were supplied from the oil refineries of OJSC "NK" Rosneft by tankers, rail and ferry running via the Caucasus-Poti/Batumi route. Georgian transit ports serve as a transit point for Russian oil products, which are stored in special tanks for later transportation to Armenia.
